Learn More About Discounted Class Rates

By offering discounts, we hope to honor underrepresented communities, acknowledge systemic barriers, and help bridge these types of gaps however we can.

All selections remain private within the office. Students are welcome to pay for the regular drop-in if discounts are not something they want to utilize.

TUITION GUIDELINES

Charging Your Account - Accounts that have cards on file will be automatically charged between the 1st and the 4th of each month. If a card is declined or tuition is not paid on time, families will be contacted and asked to pay. If you are unable to pay tuition at any time, please contact our office to discuss how we can help you.

We will continue to charge your account automatically until either the year is over or you inform us that you are no longer taking classes with us. That being said, if you choose to cancel classes with us, please let us know in advance so that we do not automatically charge your card. If you terminate classes with us without notifying the office, we will not be able to offer refunds for any transactions that occur while we are unaware of your cancellation.

Refund Policy - As a rule, we are unable to offer refunds for cancelations and absences.
Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Volunteering - For each hour of volunteering with us, you will earn $10 in “Wellspring Bucks” that can be allocated toward tuition or concert tickets. You must log your hours through our Volunteer Form to redeem them.

Funding for Wellspring's Scholarship Program is provided by donations from individuals, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, the Dorothy U. Dalton Foundation, the Koa Fund, the Harold and Grace Upjohn Foundation, the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation, the Kalamazoo Community Foundation, the Michigan Arts and Culture Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Wellspring provides scholarships to low-income families and those suffering temporary financial hardship in increments of 25%, 50% and 75%. Children and adults may both apply with first consideration given to youth applicants. Although Wellspring aims to award all applicants, scholarship funds are limited and not all requests can be fulfilled.

If your dancer receives a scholarship, 1 volunteer hour each month or 9 hrs/season is required to maintain your scholarship. Failure to fulfill the hourly quota will result in your dancer’s scholarship being revoked for the remainder of the academic year.

Click here to access our scholarship application form or request one from the Wellspring office at 269-342-4354 to receive by mail.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds run out for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.

To be considered for scholarship support for our 2026-2027 session, please submit your application.
