Almeida Maza
Technical Theatre and Marketing Intern
Yamileth Almeida Maza is an Ecuadorian artist who has developed her career as an educator and flutist. She earned a Master’s degree in Music Performance from Western Michigan University, where she served as a Graduate Assistant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Her teaching experience spans a diverse range of institutions, including Western Michigan University, Gull Lake Middle School, Kids in Tune, Takiri, INEPE, and Long Lake Camp for the Arts. Yamileth was part of the coordination and cultural management team at the Takiri Foundation for five years and has also served as an intern at the National Flute Association. She is an active member of the West Michigan Flute Association and the Kalamazoo Philharmonia Orchestra.
Currently, she teaches flute at Gull Lake Middle School and in the Kids in Tune after-school program. In addition, she serves as a Technical Theatre and Marketing Intern at Wellspring.
